May your day be brighter
The first of May is a day that reminds us that Summer is right around the corner. With fresh blooms, birds singing, and more hours of daylight, hopeful optimism fills the air. For those suffering from mental health-related issues, May is just another month. We likely all know someone who struggles with mental health on any given day. Not everyone is always happy, but knowing when the blues are more than a situational event, it takes courage to talk about it openly. Mental health is a serious part of our lives and deserves as much attention as our physical health. If left untreated, mental health needs can be life-limiting. We must reduce the stigma to get help. Friends, we are here to help each other through difficult times. Asking for help is not a sign of weakness or self-worth but a sign of strength. If you or a loved one feels down, sad, or hopeless, JMHS is here to help. Your mental health matters and your life is worth living!! CALL or TEXT the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline at 988 or one of our JMHS mental health professionals at 320-769-4393.
