Ambulance

The Dawson Ambulance Services, provides full basic life support to the hospital district and surrounding area.

In addition to full 24-hour emergency and non-emergency service coverage, the ambulance service provides hospital-to-hospital transfers to a number of communities, including Willmar, St. Cloud, Minneapolis, Sioux Falls, and Watertown. The staff also gives ground support for helicopter and fixed-wing transfers.

The service operates two fully-equipped ambulances, including heart monitor/defibrillators. It is staffed by Emergency Medical Technicians who have completed training as certified by the State. EMTs must maintain their skill level through regular training sessions and semi-annual state exams.
