Dr. Maus Dawson-Boyd Community Scholarship

Dr. Phil Maus, started the scholarship program in 1996 for the purpose of encouraging DBHS graduates and alumni to consider careers in healthcare. Through the generous support of the community we have been able to award $77,000.00 in scholarships to graduates entering a field of medical education.

In this age of increasing technology and lure from metropolitan areas, rural areas are at a  disadvantage in recruiting medical personnel. Scholarship recipients are encouraged to consider returning to the Dawson community once they have completed their education.
