We often think of November as a time for Gratitude, Grace, and Feasting. JMHS had this in mind when we launched our new electronic health record this week. So many people have contributed to the success of this change that I can only express my gratitude to honor those individuals and the many hours of work that it took to ensure the system could accommodate all our patients/JMHS needs. We went live with the system on Saturday with minor interruptions to our patients and inpatient/emergency room workflows. On Monday, we experienced some longer clinic wait times, but our patients demonstrated so much grace in allowing our staff to learn and navigate the changes. We are grateful for our employees and patients that have made this Epic event successful. This week we are also honoring those residents and tenants that are Veterans. Such an Epic week! I didn’t forget about the feasting I referenced. I know there were community members that intended to harvest some venison during the deer hunting opener last weekend. I hope you had a safe and successful weekend. Enjoy this month of Gratitude, Grace, and Feasting!
