The “new” front entrance of the JMHS campus (Hospital, Clinic, Care Center, & Assisted Living) is sure taking on a whole new look now that demolition of the old care center is complete. It makes it both exciting and even more real as the future patient parking lot progresses. In the upcoming month, Hasslen Construction Company (HCC) will continue to prep the future patient parking lot for water & sewer, as well as curb & gutter. HCC will be staking out the helipad and associated retaining wall to prepare for foundations. Work will also continue on the Surgical Suite, and the new Hospital/Clinic Entrance with the Canopy.
Over the next few weeks, we will continue to use the West JMHS Entrance as the Emergency Department Entrance, due to the inability to access the regular Emergency Department Entrance with the construction of the patient parking lot. Thank you all for your patience during this time. We hope to regain direct access through the Emergency Department Ambulance Bay within the next 2-3 weeks.
As our capital project continues to progress through the remaining phases, we will be working closely with HCC to secure off areas of construction. This process does get trickier when construction involves “renovation/remodel”, as there will be times when we need to temporarily displace entire departments during certain phases. We appreciate your patience and dealing with any inconveniences.
