Telehealth
Telehealth appointments are interactive audio and video communications in real time with you and your provider. These visits allow you to be virtually seen by your provider in the comfort of your own home. A medical provider providing health care services by telemedicine is held to the same standards of practice and conduct as in-person health care services.
What technology is required for a patient to utilize Telehealth?
Telehealth visits require that you have an active MyChart account, a computer equipped with a camera and sound, and an internet connection. You can join the video visit by logging into the MyChart website on your computer or join by using the MyChart Mobile application on an Apple iOS or Android mobile device. Where do I need to go for my Telehealth visit?
You can remain in your home or in a private office, but you can be in any location that you feel provides sufficient privacy and isn’t too noisy.
How do I schedule a visit?
Just contact the clinic at 320-769-4323 exactly like you would for an in-person visit and let us know you’d like to see your provider via video. We will do our best to accommodate your request, however not all appointments are appropriate for Telehealth.
Can medications be prescribed during a Telehealth visit?
Yes, in most cases medications can be prescribed or adjusted.
Will a visit via Telehealth be as effective as an in-person one?
We believe that it is important to let you know that not every situation is right for Telehealth. Be assured that we will only schedule remote visits for the right kinds of cases. If during the visit, we feel that we can’t treat you adequately via video, an in-person visit will be arranged. Remote visits have proven to be equally as effective as in-person ones. In fact, Telehealth can actually improves outcomes by making it easier for people to comply with follow-up recommendations and aftercare.
