The Surgery Suite Open House was held on Friday, December 21 from 3:00-6:00pm. The tours featured JMHS surgery staff explaining the different areas of the space. The highlight of the tour was seeing the Operating Room which is normally closed to the public.
The new space is almost double in size and is designed to handle today’s modern technology and more complex surgeries. It features several large monitors connected to our EMR system that allows the surgical team to review notes and radiology reports during surgery.
The new state-of-the-art space features allow us to add new services such as total hips and knees and even cardiology (coming soon). In fact, we have two knee replacements scheduled in January!!!
The new surgical suite is scheduled to begin use on Monday. We can’t wait to begin utilizing the space. It provides an efficient and private space for staff, physicians and patients!
