Johnson Memorial Health Services is set to begin Phase II of the Capital Construction Project. Demolition of the old Care Center, as well as Asbestos Abatement, is scheduled to begin July 23. Demolition will begin on the newer addition and work over to the older structure after the Asbestos Abatement is complete.
Please remember that the old Care Center is closed to the public. Care Center visitors and family members should use the entrances located on Chestnut Street and Memorial Place or the main Clinic/Hospital entrance to access the Care Center.
Due to the upcoming Care Center demolition and ongoing construction, the back entrance near the Therapy Department will be closed for the duration of the project. ALL Clinic patients must use the temporary Clinic/Hospital front entrance located on Memorial Place. The Priority Parking signs will also be moved near the front entrance. We ask that only those who need assistance or have trouble walking use these spots. As always, please let reception know if you need assistance into the building prior to your appointment.
Please note that the bus drop off/pick up for Care Center Residents and Assisted Living Tenants is located on Memorial Place near the loading dock. A Bus Stop/Parking sign is being installed. Bus drop off/pick up for the Clinic and Hospital patients will continue to be located at the temporary main entrance.
After the old Care Center demolition is complete, construction will begin on Phase III. Building a new Clinic/Hospital Entrance, helipad, parking lot and some internal renovations. Phase III is scheduled to be complete in Spring/Summer of 2019.
