Work continues at the Care Center, with visible interior changes occurring on a daily basis. Although so much has been accomplished, there is still much to do. Window shades, fireplace tiles, cabinets, fixtures, doors, handrails, and flooring throughout continues to be installed. Behind the scenes, IT cabling & wiring, the testing of the nurse call system, and preparing for telephones and tv’s are occurring as well. As a side note, the chapel is going to be quite a focal point of the Town Center! The Fire Marshall has been onsite, and the MN Dept of Labor & Industry will be completing their initial inspection of the new Care Center this week. The rest of April will be focused on furniture delivery, installing countertops, and continuing with the Care Center finishes. We will also be developing the punch list of items that need to be completed with Hasslen Construction Company and Wold Architects. Again, our target move-in date for the JMCC residents is scheduled for May/June 2018. Care Center landscaping projects will be worked on later this spring/summer. Work on the hospital side has slowed in order to focus on completing the Care Center. – Stacey Lee, CEO
