Johnson Memorial Health Services (JMHS) is pleased to welcome Lisa Kuechenmeister, MS, LPCC, to their mental health provider team. She received her masters of science degree in Counseling Psychology from Capella University and BA in Psychology from Hawaii Pacific University. She has more than 16 years of experience in the Mental Health field.
Kuechenmeister is certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Managing and Adapting Practice (MAP). She is also working on her Attachment-Based Family Therapy (ABFT) certification. She provides individual, family, trauma, cognitive-behavioral, and dialectical behavior therapies.
“Mental Health has been a passion of mine for years. Human behavior and what defines it has always intrigued me,” said Kuechenmeister. “I focus on why certain behaviors happen, and use that knowledge to help people process their thoughts and emotions.”
Focusing on the mental, emotional, and behavioral well-being of her patients, Kuechenmeister provides individualized care with a therapeutic direction to meet a person’s needs. She believes this process helps alleviate symptoms and guides individuals in maintaining optimal mental health.
Kuechenmeister and her husband Kirk live on a farm outside of Dawson with their three boys Seth (14), Eli (11), and Griffen (9). Her son Brennan and his wife Haley have two kids, Jase (3) and Brayleigh (1). Son Gavin is engaged to Kennedy and attending college at Alexandria Tech.
