With each passing month, the progress on the Care Center project is just so exciting! The 2 neighborhood wings are almost completely shingled and the windows are on order. The concrete floor has been poured and the resident rooms are taking shape! Placement and wiring of the electrical outlets, light switches, and call lights for the resident rooms is also in progress. The basement is fully excavated and they have begun pouring the walls. The construction crew will be working on the basement for the next 2 months, including the upcoming work of framing the walls of the Care Center’s Town Center area.
As the capital building structure continues to progress, we continue to work on the upcoming furniture, fixture, and equipment options and comparisons. Internal JMHS teams have been working on operational changes that will need to occur when transitioning to the new care center as well. So, much is going on associated with this major capital project, in addition to all the hard-working JMHS staff continuing to do their part to provide excellent health care for our community!
