Johnson Memorial Health Services (JMHS) is pleased to welcome Kris Bach, Tami Schuelke-Sampson & Julie Turnberg to the JMHS Board. They join the 9 member board, which consists of a representative from the surrounding 8 townships and 1 member at large.
Board members are voted in by their township during the November elections. New board members officially begin their duties in January of the next year. Kris represents the Providence Township, Tami the City of Dawson and Julie represents the Lac Qui Parle Township.
Additional board members include: Carla Johnson representing the Baxter Township, Dustin Citrowske the Cerro Gordo Township, George Thesing the Hamlin Township, Jesi Martinson the Riverside Township and Ken Perkins represents the Member at Large.
Board members provide direction for strategic planning and set and approve the yearly budget. The Board also ensures that JMHS activities are consistent with the articles of incorporation, and consider the health requirements of the communities when making governance decisions. They meet the fourth Monday of each month at 5:30 pm in the JMHS Community Room; meetings are open to the public.
