JMHS has contracted with K-Bid, an online auction house, to sell all the fixtures, furniture and equipment in the current care center that will not be moving to the new replacement care center. Hiring K-Bid to handle the auction allows JMHS staff to focus on ensuring a safe and smooth transition for moving residents into their new home.
“We appreciate all the wonderful items that have been given throughout the years and understand how there may be sentimental attachments,” said Stacey Lee, JMHS CEO. “However, to be consistent and fair, we decided that all items not moving to the new care center will be listed with K-Bid.”
K-Bid allows participants to bid on various items – from cabinets, molding/trim work, to doors for examples (many more items will be available). Bidding is open for two weeks, and the highest bidder wins. All items will be required to be picked up promptly as the current care center building will be demolished shortly after the auction. More information regarding the auction will be made public once the date is finalized.
