As I’m writing this update, the weather is finally starting to take a turn for the better! It’s a welcome relief to have a 34 degree day, versus the frigid temperatures we’ve been dealing with for sure. As far as the new Care Center construction, carpet, vanity tops, and cabinets are being installed, interior doors are starting to be hung, sprinkler system drops put in place, and wall texture/painting continues. By the end of January, the Care Center siding should be completed as well. As far as the Surgical Suite, work continues on the installation of the surgical boom in the OR, and will move to electrical wiring and power in the next couple of weeks. Lastly, the 1st two hospital room renovations should be completed in the next 2 weeks, with plans to move on to the next two hospital rooms around the beginning of February. We will be facilitating some construction tours of the new Care Center in the latter part of January, and will continue to schedule tours for JMHS Care Center staff for operational planning purposes over the next couple of months. A special thanks goes out to Scott Ochsendorf, JMHS Environmental Services Manager, for leading these construction tours, as well as coordinating these tours with Hasslen Construction Company.
