After a week of frigid temperatures, the construction crew is back at it! The extended forecast looks great for finishing up the balance of the foundations, and the plan is that B&E Concrete will be able to pour the remaining section of foundation wall this week. The following are a few updates from Hasslen Construction Company (HCC): the wood walls for Area C are being built now and will come pre-assembled ready to stand up when they arrive, the structural steel drawings are being reviewed by engineers for Areas B & C, the truss drawings for Area C are at the engineers for review, Area C foundations are complete and Area B foundations are nearing completion (hopefully by the end of this week), and the plumbers have been installing the underground sewer pipes. With these “mild” temperatures, the plan is for much progress to be made these next 2 weeks.
In addition, the Capital Project slide show with commentary will be posted on the JMHS website by Monday, January 23, 2017. Please check it out! It is exciting to share the plans and all the new features of the new care center, the new surgical suite, the relocated parking lot and helipad, and the renovations to our hospital and clinic. These facility upgrades will allow us to better meet the existing and future healthcare needs of our patients, residents, and community!
