Cookies baked, Christmas Cards Sent, Tree Trimmed, Gifts bought….oh wait, what did I forget? It seems like every holiday season, the “perfect plans” do not go off as planned. There was the time my daughters both got the stomach flu Christmas Eve or the time I misplaced all the gift cards, and then there was the holiday meal when the oven decided to quit. Disappointing, yes; a holiday spoiler, no. This holiday season, try to take some time to enjoy the moments and the things you have time for. Sometimes we need to give ourselves a bit of the patience and grace we give others. If you are seeking a special gift, check out all of our nice shops in Dawson. Ask your local grocery store or catering group to step in if you want to avoid the stress of a large holiday meal. I think there are even options to make sending your holiday cards a bit easier. With only two weeks to Christmas, take inventory of how you would like to diminish the stress and focus on the wonder and blessing.
