Johnson Memorial Health Services (JMHS) is pleased to welcome Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Anna Lewis, PMHNP, to their mental health provider team. She will provide behavioral health therapy and medication management to our patients. Lewis received her Master of Science degree in Psychiatric Mental Health from Walden University and BSN in Nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing.
Before becoming a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Lewis spent 15 years working as an RN. Her passion for mental health developed from her experience working in the ER, ICU, trauma unit, and correctional care. There she often met people struggling just to get through the day.
“As an RN, I have met so many good people who were going through a rough time,” said Lewis. “That’s why I focus on meeting people where they are at in their life. I help provide them with the skills and knowledge to create obtainable goals to improve their overall mental and physical health.”
Lewis chose JMHS because she focuses on treating the whole patient. She believes mental health is just as important as physical health. Here she has the opportunity to work alongside the primary care providers to deliver the best possible care.
Lewis and her husband, Dan, live in Granite Falls. They have three children, Amelia (9), Paxton (5), and Cora (2). In her spare time, she enjoys reading, running, and traveling with family and friends.
Lewis sees patients on Monday, Tuesday at JMHS. To schedule an appointment, call 320-769-4323. For more information, please contact Cori Bothun, Clinic Manager, at 320-312-2108, or visit www.jmhsmn.org.
