Ag Processing Inc (AGP®) donates $25,000 to the JMHS Foundations Caring for our Community campaign. AGP is the largest cooperative soybean processing company in the world and a leading supplier of soybean meal and refined vegetable oils. Dawson is one of nine soybean processing plants located in Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, and Nebraska. AGP is currently building a new soybean processing plant in Aberdeen, South Dakota.
“AGP’s primary mission is to serve cooperatives and agricultural producers,” said Keith Spackler, Chief Executive Officer. “We believe part of that mission is to support quality health care initiatives in the communities we live and work in.”
The JMHS Foundation’s Caring for the Community fundraising campaign was created to ensure the new, $16.5 million Care Center was built to its greatest potential. The new facility features 56 private rooms with attached private handicapped accessible bathrooms that include a shower. It addresses infrastructure and compliance issues as well as changing expectations to accommodate future residents.
The JMHS Foundation set an ambitious, $1.4 million fundraising goal for the campaign. The campaign has raised more than $1.56 million in pledges and donations to date.
