Johnson Memorial Health Services (JMHS) has been acknowledged as a Minnesota Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (MNSHARP) certified worksite. JMHS will be recognized during a ceremony on Thursday, September 6 at 12:00 a.m. at their facility.
MNSHARP is a Minnesota Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MNOSHA) program of the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry (MNDLI). MNSHARP recognized companies substantiate exemplary health and safety programs that supersede applicable OSHA standards. As one of 39 MNSHARP certified worksites, JMHS is the second healthcare facility and first care center to become certified. JMHS will enjoy the benefits associated with long-term prevention of job-related injuries and illnesses including improved productivity, lower medical treatment costs and reduced worker’s compensation insurance premiums. In addition, MNSHARP compliance entitles Johnson Memorial Health Services to an exemption from programmed MNOSHA inspections for two years.
Commissioner Ken Peterson, local county commissions and community members will assemble along with Johnson Memorial Health Services employees to commemorate this achievement during the September 6 ceremony.
