I am so excited to experience my first Dawson Riverfest this week. So many exciting and fun events to share with our community. I was personally happy to learn that JMHS is once again hosting the mini-triathlon for our youth. As many of you know, I am a triathlete that started a bit later in life. Getting our kids involved in multi-sport at an early age teaches so many disciplines of preparation and transitions. I will be on hand to help and maybe even share a tip or two. You do not have to excel at all three sports, but the ability to endure them is what makes it fun—all very important life skills. If you haven’t had the chance to sign up, there is still time.
