Being recognized for outstanding performance on any level brings joy to us all and is a cause for celebration. Being recently recognized for Exceptional Patient Experience we a testimony to the staff that provide great care at JMHS. We also had the honor of recognizing our 2022 Employee of the Year, Missy Struxness! This JMHS tradition goes back seven years. There are many qualities to consider when choosing an individual to be named Employee of the Year as the competition is very tough. They have to be more than just great at their job because, let’s face it, we have so many great people working at JMHS. Some of the qualities that the Employee of the Year possess outside of our TEAM values are integrity, self-awareness, courage, respect, empathy, and gratitude. Missy Struxness demonstrates these qualities and more. She holds the title of Information Technology Informatics and serves as the project manager for our Epic electronic medical records system (ERM) migration. Missy has been with JMHS for 23 years demonstrating her versatility as she has held several titles throughout her career. No matter what position she has held, she leads with a calm and vibrant energy that leaves everyone with reassurance that whatever opportunity presents, the outcome will be positive. She continues to encourage grace and patience to ourselves and each other as we learn all the new benefits of the Epic system. I hope you all have or know someone like Missy in your life or on your team and if so, take a moment to extend a compliment or some type of recognition.
