JMHS Friends and Family Picnic A Success!
Johnson Memorial Health Services (JMHS) hosted its annual Friends and Family Picnic on Tuesday, August 19. The event brought together Care Center residents, Assisted Living tenants, and more than 60 of their guests for an evening filled with music, laughter, and food.
A highlight of the event was a live performance by Verlyn Kling, who entertained attendees with a lively mix of classic country and rock music from 4:15 to 5:30 p.m. His upbeat melodies filled the courtyard, encouraging guests to tap their toes while enjoying the warm weather and each other’s company.
Following the performance, guests enjoyed a delicious picnic dinner featuring BBQ pulled pork sandwiches, coleslaw, macaroni salad, chips, fresh fruit, and a selection of beverages, including lemonade, coffee, and water.
“The Friends and Family Picnic is one of our most meaningful traditions,” Lisa DuFrane, Activities Director at JMHS. “It’s a special opportunity for our residents and tenants to spend quality time with loved ones in a joyful and relaxed atmosphere.”
The event reflects JMHS’s continued commitment to creating an environment where residents and tenants feel supported, valued, and connected. With nearly every seat filled, the picnic has become a cherished gathering for families in our community.
