JM Foundation Announces 2025 Dr. Maus Dawson-Boyd Community Scholarship Recipients
The Johnson Memorial (JM) Foundation is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2025 Dr. Maus Dawson-Boyd Community Scholarship: Elsie Wiebe, Madalyn Wente, Kade Solem, and Collin Swedzinski. Wiebe, Wente, and Solem are 2025 graduates who are pursuing nursing degrees. Swedzinski, 2022 alumni, is pursuing a career in exercise science.
These outstanding students were selected for their academic achievements and commitment to pursuing careers in healthcare. Each of them received a $1,000 scholarship towards their college education.
The Dr. Maus Scholarship was established in 1996 by longtime JMHS physician Dr. Phil Maus, who served the Dawson-Boyd area from 1956 to 1996. His goal was to inspire and support Dawson-Boyd High School graduates and alums who are interested in entering the healthcare profession. Since its inception, the scholarship has awarded more than $81,000 to local students.
The JM Foundation manages the Dr. Maus Dawson-Boyd Community Scholarship on behalf of Dr. Maus’ family. For more information, visit www.jmhsmn.org/foundation.
