Johnson Memorial Health Services is pleased to offer outside visits for our Care Center Residents and Assisted Living Tenants. On June 17, the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) provided guidelines to permit in-person, outside visits with residents of Long-Term Care (LTC) Facilities, including Assisted Living Tenants and Care Center Residents.
MDH released outside visitation guidelines recognizing how the effects of isolation can have serious impacts on the health and well-being of residents. The risk of COVID-19 transmission and the need for family, partner, or close friend interaction can be balanced following these guidelines.
While residents and tenants at JMHS have enjoyed seeing family and friends in person, staff have also enjoyed not only seeing their guests but enjoying the happiness that it brings. In-person, outdoor visits are available Monday – Saturday following the guidelines:
- 30-minute visits
- Limit four visitors per visit
- Limited to family, partner, or close friends
- Visitors will be screened before the visit – use front Care Center entrance
- Visitors must wear a mask during the visit
- Must respect Social Distancing by remaining 6 feet apart
- Please note visit may be cancelled due to weather
