Dr. Maus Dawson-Boyd Community Scholarship

For 40 years, from 1956-1996, Dr. Phil Maus was a practicing physician at JMHS. He established the scholarship program in 1996, hoping to encourage and inspire Dawson-Boyd High School graduates and alumni to pursue a healthcare career. Since its inception, the program has awarded $77,000 in scholarships to deserving students.
Graduating seniors from Dawson-Boyd High School and alums pursuing degrees in healthcare-related fields are encouraged to take advantage of this unique opportunity. The scholarship committee seeks candidates who demonstrate academic excellence, commitment to healthcare, and a passion for serving our community.
The Johnson Memorial Foundation manages the Dr. Maus Dawson-Boyd Community Scholarship on behalf of Dr. Maus’ family.
