Visitors Information
Johnson Memorial Health Services is committed to the health and wellness of our patients, residents and tenants.
We understand the vital role frequent communication from friends and family plays in the overall health of our patients, residents and friends. We invite you to visit when you can.
Visiting Hours
Suggested visiting hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. daily. Parents may visit their hospitalized children at any time. Children must be accompanied by an adult while visiting or waiting in the lobbies.
Patients and visitors are asked to follow these guidelines:
- Reasonable number of visitors at any one time. Please be respectful of other patients.
- Keep visits short. Be sensitive to patient discomfort and the need for rest.
- Visitors may be asked to leave so that patient care can be provided.
- Persons with infectious illnesses are asked not to visit.
- If you are not sure if you have a contagious condition, please speak with the nursing staff.
During outbreaks of infectious illnesses visitation may be restricted. Please observe the following:
- Pediatrics
Parents may visit any time, including overnight stays. Other visitors should visit during suggested visiting hours or by special arrangement. Younger siblings may visit with parental supervision.
- Special Care Rooms
Visitors should discuss visiting guidelines with the nursing staff. Families are asked to designate one family member to communicate with the nurse by phone to allow the nurse more time with the patient. Clergy may visit any time at the discretion of the patient’s nurse.
Please remember with HIPPA laws we need your permission to share your health information with designated people.
Flowers & Balloons
Live or dried flowers may not be allowed in some patient care areas of the hospital. The nursing staff will inform you of
restrictions. Latex balloons are not allowed in the hospital because of the potential hazards to patients; however, Mylar balloons are permitted.
Parking
Parking is available in the following visitor/patient parking areas located at the front of the Hospital. Special parking is available for Emergency Room patients.
Handicap Accessibility
Handicapped visitors are provided parking and barrier-free access to all areas in the hospital. Restrooms designed to accommodate physically handicapped persons are located at various locations in the hospital.
JMHS Cafe:
The JMHS Café provides a great spot for your family to grab something to eat. It is located in the Town Center of the Care Center. The cafe is open Monday – Friday from 8:00 am – 1:00 pm. Lunch items are available from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and include soup, salad bar, and hot meals daily. Grab and Go items can be purchased and include cold sandwiches, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, string cheese, fruit, chips, ice cream treats and a variety of beverages. Items can be purchased with cash or credit card.
