Johnson Memorial Health Services (JMHS) is pleased to welcome Ali Peterson, Advanced Practice Registered Nursing (APRN) – Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP), to their healthcare provider team. Peterson received her masters of science degree from SDSU and has more than 2.5 years of practice experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
“We couldn’t be more excited to have Ali join our healthcare team,” said Stacey Lee, JMHS CEO. “Ali’s focus on wellness, her innovative ideas, and her genuine caring for her patients and co-workers are wonderful attributes.”
Peterson provides primary care for individuals of all ages, from infants to older adults. She also offers multiple forms of contraceptive management. She enjoys working with young families and women. Furthermore, Peterson also works with behavior change in the areas of tobacco cessation, nutrition, and bariatrics.
Her name may sound familiar as she worked at JMHS for five years as an RN in the hospital and completed her APRN preceptorship with Jill Christie, FNP in the clinic. Peterson is excited to come back to JMHS and join the medical team where she will provide primary care and bariatric clinic services.
“I enjoy serving as a rural nurse practitioner and truly connecting with my patients,” said Peterson. “I believe that through listening and getting to know my patients, I can learn how to help solve problems to meet their health and wellness goals.”
Peterson is originally from Holloway and graduated from LQPV. She and her husband, Luke live north of Dawson and have two young children. They are expecting their third child in June.
