Nothing gets me motivated for exercise than the thought of sitting down to a large meal. This past week we celebrated Thanksgiving and the kickoff to our family holiday “feastivities” as I like to say. In preparation, I happily signed my husband and me up for the local Turkey Trot. What a great way to support a local cause while burning off those extra calories. We were fortunate that the weather was beautiful for the 5k run/walk and for the opportunity to see so many participants in creative costumes. Managing diet and exercise may be difficult after the holidays and at other times. If you are like many and struggle to stay on a consistent plan, many resources are provided here at JMHS.
Our Bariatric program helps people find their ideal weight and move forward with a medically and nutritionally monitored plan. Diet and exercise have many health benefits, so don’t delay if you are dreading to weigh.
