Register today for our new Lunch and Learn series. From May to October JMHS providers and staff will provide monthly educational sessions for community members. Each session will provide a FREE meal so we need you to register if you plan to attend, so that we have enough food for everyone.

Understanding Dementia & Memory Care

Dementia isn’t just memory loss, it’s a progressive brain disorder that affects thinking, communication, and everyday tasks.

Join dementia expert Gretchen Reeves for an educational session focused on helping you better understand dementia and how to provide meaningful care and connection for those affected.

You’ll learn:

  • The difference between normal aging and dementia
  • Different types of dementia and their symptoms
  • Communication strategies to help with interacting with people living with dementia

A FREE boxed lunch of a ham, turkey and cheese croissant, chips, and a cookie will be provided along with coffee, water, and lemonade. RSVP’s are due by end of day on Friday, June 6.  RSVP on-line below or by calling 320-769-4393 x2111.
