Responsibilities for Residents

Heading out with your loved one for an event or outing? Let’s make it safe and enjoyable!

As you prepare to take a resident(s) out for an event, we want to remind you of a few important responsibilities to ensure their safety and well-being:

1. Supervision: Please ensure that the resident(s) is supervised at all times during the outing. Their safety is our top priority.
2. Health Needs: Be aware of any specific health needs or medications that the resident(s) may require during the outing. Bring any necessary items, such as medications or mobility aids (cane, walker, and/or wheelchair.)
3. Safety Responsibility: Once you leave our doors, it is your responsibility to ensure the safety and well-being of the resident(s). Please be mindful of their needs, level of assistance and surroundings.
4. Emergency Contacts: Keep a list of emergency contacts handy, including the nursing home’s contact information, in case you need assistance.

5. Return Time: Please plan to return the resident(s) to the facility according to agreed upon time, as this helps us maintain their routine and ensures they receive any necessary evening care.
6. Report Concerns: Upon returning, please report any concerns or observations regarding resident(s) well-being to our staff. Your feedback is essential for their ongoing care.
7. Communication: If there are any changes in plans or if you need assistance, please communicate with our staff.
