JMHS Welcomes Dr. Lindsey Hanson, MD, MPH, to Family Medicine Team

Johnson Memorial Health Services (JMHS) is thrilled to welcome Dr. Lindsey Hanson, MD, MPH, to our Family Medicine team. Starting January 13, Dr. Hanson will provide clinic and hospital services to patients of all ages.
Dr. Hanson earned her medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School and completed her residency at the Center for Family Medicine in Sioux Falls, SD. With a strong foundation in the Rural Physician Associate Program, she is dedicated to meeting the unique healthcare needs of rural areas.
“I am honored to join JMHS and serve the Dawson community,” said Dr. Hanson. “I look forward to building lasting relationships with my patients and ensuring they feel heard, respected, and empowered in their healthcare journey.”
Dr. Hanson offers a wide range of family medicine services, including wellness exams, chronic disease management, prenatal care, and end-of-life care. She is skilled in various procedures, including skin biopsies, Nexplanon insertions, and IUD removals. With her public health background, she emphasizes preventive care through screenings and vaccinations.
Originally from Tyler, MN, Dr. Hanson and her husband, a civil engineer, have three children, ages 9, 7, and 3. They enjoy outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, and skiing in their free time.
JMHS will host an open house on Thursday, January 16, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the JMHS Cafe/Chapel to celebrate Dr. Hanson’s arrival. Community members are invited to stop by, meet Dr. Hanson, and learn more about the services she will offer.
