Johnson Memorial Health Services (JMHS) hosted an open house on Wednesday, June 18 from 2:00-4:00 pm to introduce and welcome their new physician, Dr. Ayaz Virji and his family. Around 200 people stopped by to welcome them to the community.
Dr. Virji and his wife, Musarrat, have been married for fifteen years and have three children: Faisal (13), Imran (11), and Maya (6). Faisal is going into 7th grade, Imran will be a 6th grader and Maya will start 1st grade at DBHS in the fall.
Musarrat is a licensedEsthetician. Estheticians are trained in the cosmetic treatment of the skin (i.e. facials, aromatherapy, skin care and makeup). She will continue her practice at Nirvana, located downtown Dawson, after school starts.
Dr. Virji’s has 11 years of practice experience in full scope of family medicine including preventive care, urgent care, minor office surgeries, and chronic disease management. His practice will focus on family medicine, meaning he will provide comprehensive health care for people of all ages. He is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, American Board of Obesity Medicine, and American Board of Physician Nutrition Specialists.
