The team of Bob Lee, Roy Heinz, Mike Erickson and Danny Lee took first place Friday, August 10th at the 23rd Annual Dr. Maus Dawson-Boyd Community Scholarship Golf Tournament held at the Dawson Golf Course. 18 people were on hand to participate in this years’ Golf Tourney. Attendance was much smaller this year due to the weather that postponed the event one week.
The Dr. Maus Scholarship Golf Tournament is a best-ball tournament. The fun family event provides participants a number of opportunities to win prizes at each hole. Almost everyone in attendance received a raffle prize, which were drawn at the end of the tourney.
The money raised from registration fees, hole sponsorships, and donations goes towards the Dr. Maus Dawson-Boyd Community Scholarship Fund. This scholarship is awarded annually to Dawson-Boyd graduates and alumni pursuing careers in healthcare. Proceeds from the Dr. Maus
Dawson-Boyd Community Scholarship Fund has provided over $60,000 in Scholarships! This year $1,000 scholarships were awarded to Hannah Stelter, Nursing; Austin Schmitt, Physical Therapy. $500 scholarships were awarded to DBHS alumni Spencer Erickson and Easton Popma.

The event was sponsored by the JMHS Foundation. As in other years, local businesses and individuals sponsored holes and contributed the prizes for the winners.
