As the construction of the Care Center basement continues, work has also begun on the Care Center siding on the portion of the building facing Chestnut Street. In addition, HCC has also begun work on JMHS’ new Surgical Suite. Scott Ochsendorf, JMHS Facilities Manager, has done a great job informing all about the necessary road closings as construction progresses. This is not an easy feat, as we often don’t have the luxury of much advanced notice of the needed road closings, and Scott needs to get the information out to JMHS staff, patients, the Heartland Bus, and visitors. We so appreciate your patience when dealing with the road closings and construction. The JMHS internal steering committee has been focusing on the inside elements of the Care Center, such as the nurse call system, door security, and the furniture/equipment needed, as well as reviewing the upcoming Hospital renovation plans.
