This past week, many of us were still trying to find that “perfect” gift hoping that the weather would cooperate for some last-minute shopping. Despite all intentions, some people may have had to postpone their shopping due to weather and simply give the gift of their time. This was the case for many of our JMHS healthcare workers who had hoped to spend time at home during the holidays but instead were asked to stay for extra shifts, forego their day off, or cancel their family gatherings. My heart and gratitude goes out to all of these selfless individuals that chose to give the gift of their time/talents to serve our JMHS patients, tenants, and residents. There were so many examples of how these individuals made someone’s day, helped them to feel better for the holidays, or made sure someone had a friendly smile to wake up to. These healthcare angels truly demonstrated what gifts were important. We also had a request to the community for anyone interested in purchasing a holiday floral arrangement for our residents and tenants. It was no miracle that our community of Angels made sure that all of the beautiful floral arrangements were purchased. If you are interested in sharing your gift of time, appreciation, or money with JMHS, please reach out to Saundra Snobl at 320-312-2123. Our “Healthcare Angels” appreciate everything you do for JMHS and our community. Wishing you all Peace, Joy, and Gratitude as we end 2022.
