A few weeks ago, I wrote about preparing for our future as we age. If you need a reminder, here it is: Age is just a number. I am amazed at the opportunities we have here in our community to keep active as we age. Exercise is the best preventative treatment for many diseases or conditions. Activity stimulates the mind and the body. Some may think that activity includes running or strenuous muscle work when it really includes movement of any type. One way to increase your daily movement is through volunteer opportunities. We are always looking for folks with some extra time in their day to assist us in various activities. If you have an interest in increasing your dose of daily movement, we would love to have you as part of our volunteer community. Please get in touch with Lisa DuFrane at 312-2115 to join our list of active volunteers.
