I read a book called “The Energy Bus” by Jon Gordon some time ago. It was a fun story of a set of rules to enhance your life, work, and team with positive energy. It also reminded me of the “Energizer Bunny” commercials from the past and how we would refer to someone with a lot of energy as the “Energizer Bunny.”
I think that during these past few years of uncertainty and change, we can all use a bit of the “Energy Bus” in our daily lives. Some of us at JMHS have started a morning walking group. We meet early and then make sure we walk for at least 30 minutes at a comfortable pace for all participants. We often comment on how much better we feel starting our day with some movement and how that carries through our day in hopes of becoming that “Energizer Bunny.” If getting a walk-in is not part of your daily routine, there are still other ways to increase your energy level, including being in the sunshine, staying hydrated, getting enough rest, controlling stress, and eating energy-boosting foods.
Positive energy can also be created and shared simply through smiling, acts of kindness, or positive affirmation. I feel the energy in our community and organization rising every day as we keep going and going and…………………….
