The Johnson Memorial (JM) Foundation is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2026 Dr. Maus Dawson-Boyd Community Scholarship:

- Alexis Olesen, South Dakota State University – Exercise Science (Pre-Athletic Training)
- Ella Stock, Minnesota State Community & Technical College – Fergus Fall – Nursing
- Landon Kemen, Grand Canyon University – Phoenix Biology emphasis in Pre-Med
- Morgan Anderson, Winona State University- Exercise Science
- Kade Solem, Concordia College – Moorhead – Healthcare Leadership (He was a 2025 Graduate of Dawson-Boyd) who also received the scholarship again this year.
These outstanding students were selected for their academic achievements and commitment to pursuing careers in healthcare. Each of them received a $1,200 scholarship towards their college education.
The Dr. Maus Scholarship was established in 1996 by longtime JMHS physician Dr. Phil Maus, who served the Dawson-Boyd area from 1956 to 1996. His goal was to inspire and support Dawson-Boyd High School graduates and alums who are interested in entering the healthcare profession. Since its inception, the scholarship has awarded more than $81,000 to local students.
